Mamta Foundation of Canada Supports the construction of a Home for orphan and abandoned girls called "Unique Home" in Jalandhar City, Punjab, India.
This event was organized to support the construction of a new “Unique Home” building for orphan and abandoned girls at a new site on Nakodar Road, outside Jalandhar city. All Social, Religious and Political organizations were invited to come and support this great cause.
Dhaliwal Banquet Hall Provided hall facilities and catering for over 900 people free of any charge.
People enjoyed a great entertainment and food. A Documentary film about Unique Home made by Makhan Tut “Mayen Ni main Kihnu Aakhan” mweyN nIN mYM ikhnMU AwKW was shown. This documentary and program has shed the light on female foeticide and about abandoned girls in Punjab.
More than $50,000 was raised for this great cause.
This year 2.3 million (23 Lakhs) Indian rupees and last year in 2010, 1.7 million (17 Lakhs) Indian rupees were sent to Bhai Ghanayia Ji Charitable Trust’s Account for this great cause.
With the help of Indo-Canadian Businesses, Media, community activists and volunteers, Mamta Foundation of Canada held a Dinner and Entertainment evening dedicated to orphan and abandoned girls on Friday April 1st, 2011 at Dhaliwal Banquet Hall, Payal Plaza, Surrey, B.C. Canada.
